 MEET OUR

team

We'll help you discover the right shoe or product for your needs.

We're happy to listen, answer your questions, and offer our expertise.

(We only ask that you put up with some attempts at humor.)

everything they've accomplished in their lives to date.*

We've got your back!**

**Potentially true, but primarily your feet!

Kevin higgins

Our aging veteran of 80 marathons has been a fixture in the Morris County running scene for 30 years. A longtime resident of Randolph, Kevin opened Runner’s Haven in 2002. Countless residents of Morris County and beyond have come for all their running needs and top-notch customer service. When he's not helping customers or running on the local roads and trails, he can be found coaching the Randolph High School girls distance runners to win numerous county and state championships (and coaching his pup, Aggie, to maximum fitness).

MARYELLEN HIGGINS

A founder of the Haven since it was established in 2002, Maryellen leaves the store only to care for her dogs and pick up cases of raspberry Coke Zero. She ran the Randolph Recreation track/XC program with Kevin for 20+ years, mainly coaching the 6-8 year-olds. She can be heard from across the store explaining shoe stack height to customers (with an intermittent race update when such events are live-streamed from the back office computer). Employees direct nervous looks her way when they're tasked with gift-wrapping something at the counter. You may have seen her on our Instagram...she has yet to hop off of our treadmill.

AGLET "AGGIE" HIGGINS

Aggie is the driving force behind our customer base. She loves treats and trips to the store (especially when we invite other pups; Golden Hour, as we've deemed it).

Ask us about her name!

CAROLE HARSCH

Despite messing up the cash register regularly and nearly destroying the store on several occasions, Carole has remained a staple at the Haven since 2011. She got her running start in Randolph's youth program and continued all the way through high school, where she caught the eye of the University of Pennsylvania, recently her alma mater! Swing by the store to see her in action, gabbing about Tom Brady, and complaining that she's "too old for this sport."

SEAMUS HIGGINS

The runner formerly known as “Little Seamus” has grown up with our run specialty business. Seamus is a Bentley University and cross country and track alum, and he helped his XC team qualify for the NCAA Championships. Now he lives and works in the Big Apple.

JAMES KEANEY

James is a three-season distance runner for the Randolph Rams and knows shoes like we know the back/front of his hands, which have modeled various products for our Instagram. When his knowledge is threatening, we reminds him that he was the last of our crew to get his license. He then shows us that age is but a number through his art; ask to see his pottery - impressive stuff!

CHRIS ZELLEY

Chris is a college student, EMT, and Haven hero. His typical shift goes something like this: help some customers, try to eat a bagel, respond to an emergency call mid-shift, return with exciting stories of saving cats from trees, repeat.

KATE GIHORSKI

A Randolph native, Kate now studies at and competes for Quinnipiac University, but she graces the store with her presence whenever she has a break from school.

BEN EDWARDS

Ben is a Morristown High School graduate currently running for and sutdying finance at Bentley University. Mainly a 3k/5k guy, Ben considers his most impressive accomplishment owning a faster Greystone PR than fellow coworker Abby Loveys. He enjoys playing with his dogs and taking short to moderate walks on the beach. While his shoe expertise is strong, he is mainly known for his sock game.

ABBEY LOVEYS

Abby has 2 state championships & an 11th place Footlocker XC National finish, but she's most proud of her employment at our store. (Oh, and she now owns the fastest 2-mile in state history.) If you can't make it to Golden Hour, ask her for a photo of her dog, Sonny, in the mailbox as a puppy. Despite Carole's advice, she will attend Princeton University next year.

OWEN ARABIA

We don't know much about this guy except that he sells a lot of shoes and occasionally crashes coworkers' tempo runs. He's also a half and full marathoner.

JAKE ADLER

A former cross country and middle distance runner at Randolph High School, Jake has helped numerous customers while taking classes locally at the County College of Morris. He recently graduated from Towson and has been a frequent flyer in the store when in town. He enjoys hiking and mountain biking, managing to stay on his bike from time to time.

SAM JONES

Easy to spot when she's in the store: taking photos and explaining to customers why she's placing goldfish on the treadmill.

LACEY HIGGINS

If you suspect her name appropriately "ties" into running somehow, you're right.

Lacey is lovable and, just like her name sounds, lazy...but did we mention lovable?

Notably, she's young Aglet's mentor.

THOMAS GERVASIO

Thomas gets a workout running to the Haven whenever we need help; that is, when he's not assuming his teaching responsibilities at Roxbury High School. He also coaches the school's cross country/track and swim teams.
